Tim and Stephanie's wedding was more like a gathering of friends but maybe that's because Tim is a fraternity brother and I was seeing guys that I have not seen in years. It was good to connect with Tim and Stephanie and be a part of their story. From the engagement shoot in San Antonio, to Stephanie's bridal shoot in Gruene and their wedding in at Scenic Springs in Helotes...it was good to connect with where I grew up and make some new friends and see some old friends.
Congratulations to Tim and Stephanie and their new life together!
This month I had the experience to be a featured RAW Artist for the San Antonio Pixels event at the Backstage Live venue. What a cool experience. Lots of creative artists were there showing their work which ranged from Painting, Street Art, Body Art, Hair, Food, Music, Fire Dancing...and much more. If there is a RAW event in your city, I encourage you to go.
Even though I was a featured artist, it was too hard not to pick up my camera, shoot and share a few images. Honored to be a RAW Artist and showcase some of what I do.
Travis and Jina we referred to me by Preston and Sarah Stone from Books on Tap. I have loved getting to know this couple. Jina's smile is contagious and she is so fun to be around and Travis is a walking encyclopedia of Texas history. I would seriously hate to go up against him in a game of trivial pursuit. They are foodies and truly enjoy life! I am excited to be a part of telling their story now and in November when they get married. Gonna be a fun time!
Congratulations Travis and Jina. Thanks for sharing your story with me.
Last month I had the opportunity to shoot with Abbi Walker for her new EP releasing in a few months. We spent part of a day shooting in San Antonio and couldn't have asked for a better set of locations.
We started out in an abandoned granary near the Blue Star Arts Complex. The granary was literally being demolished that day and we arrived just in time to get a series of great shots before the wrecking crew showed up. After leaving there we ended up at Cowboys Dancehall where the rodeo arena was the perfect place to shoot. Abbi was great to work with on this shoot and a huge shout out goes to her sister, Kate, from Key Makeup Artist for doing the hair/makeup for this shoot. And of course we must not forget Allison, one of Abbi's best friends, who was the comic relief for the day...a must have for every shoot!
Abbi is very talented and I am looking forward to more projects in the future including a music video and her EP release....but until then you can check out some of her tracks at Reverb Nation.
