This was my first wedding to shoot at The Vineyard at Florence and James and Audrey were a great couple to share the experience with. This is a wonderful venue with plenty of cool places to capture great photos.
The family was so fun to hang out with. Audrey's mom was hilarious and unpredictable. She was cracking me up throughout the afternoon. James and his groomsmen were great to hang with as well. I think it's so cool when family members are included in the ceremony as well. James daughter was in the wedding party and his sister was the officiant. Audrey was a stunning bride and I especially loved watching her and James during their first look. The expression on her face just before James turned to see her was priceless.
The colors of the wedding were bright and fun...perfect for summer. The yellow bridesmaids dresses with the orange ties of the guys made a great combo. The parasols the ladies used were the perfect accent to top it off...even when the guys got a hold of them.
For me personally, the most touching moment of the wedding was watching the father-daughter dance. It brought tears to my eyes to watch as James danced with his daughter while Audrey danced with her father. James' daughter rested her head against her dad and James had tears coming down his cheek during the entire dance. It was a truly touching moment. It was one of those moments that as a photographer I struggle with. I know I need to capture the emotion of the moment but it's such a private moment that I hate to intrude or distract. So thankful for long lenses.
Congratulations James and Audrey! Thanks for letting me share in your special day.
