There's just something so cool and different about being at a wedding where some of the guys are active military and wear full dress uniforms. It's a celebration of a couple starting a new life together as one but also a reminder of the freedoms we have in this country and those who serve to protect those freedoms.
The ceremony was held at the historic United Methodist Chapel in Salado and the reception was at the Tenroc Ranch. The Salado Methodist chapel is a great place for a wedding. The stained glass, the windows, the overall feel of it is so quaint and romantic. The couple also rented an antique red truck for photos at the chapel and to arrive and depart in at the reception.
One of the touching moments during the ceremony was a time of remembrance for Justin's mother who passed away a few weeks before the ceremony. A candle was lit in her honor during the ceremony and a place next to her husband was reserved for her with flowers on the front pew. There was also a special toast by Justin and a candle in her honor at the reception. It was obvious these two families had walked through that time together and it showed as they celebrated Justin and Jessica's new life together. You could see and feel the bond shared by these families.
Congratulations to Justin and Jessica!
